The Mary and Frances Youth Center offers a variety of afterschool programming to promote the whole child through tennis and other sports based activities.
Mission
MFYC afterschool programs are dedicated to empowering youth by cultivating essential life skills, fostering academic growth, and paving the way towards higher education, all through the transformative power of tennis.
At MFYC, our after-school programs are built upon six core values, which are:

Current Programs
Rise Up presents an engaging afterschool program tailored for students in Grades 1-6. Our comprehensive curriculum focuses on leadership development and academic support with a special focus on tennis and other sports.
Rise Up sessions are held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, spanning from September 16th, 2024 , to December 11th, 2024.
Policies and scholarships
Scholarships are awarded on a first come, first serve basis and based upon financial need. If awarded, the enrollment cost is reduced by 50% for the program. Contact muellermr@vcu.edu for more information.
